Daily Duties at Northwest Cancer Specialist/Us Oncology:
Managed business office functions of 38 physicians, and four mid-level providers with two Cancer Centers and six clinical sites in the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington metro area including Medical Oncology, Hematology, Gynecology Oncology and Radiation Oncology with 35 clerical FTE.s and two management FTEs. Responsible for the complete revenue cycle averaging $26, 000,000 accounts receivable with a DSO of 35 days. Supervised negotiation and maintenance of insurance contracting including development of in-house record keeping accessible for accounts receivable staff to ensure accurate reimbursement. Managed provider-credentialing department, which included software implementation of SysMed to maintain accurate and timely credentialing records. Worked effectively with providers and other professional staff on a daily basis. Managed IDX practice management software, which included EDI and ERA. Supported and adhered to the USON Compliance Program and Best Practices to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
