Daily Duties at Abbottt Laboratories:

Provided day to day in plant Technical Support for Liquid, Capsule and Solid dose marketed products, including those related to transfer of New Chemical Entities (NCE). Managed Technical Operations support staff for third party manufacturer of Norvir®, Kaletra®, Zemplar® and Xinlay® capsules at Cardinal Health. Worked closely with Quality for developing and approving Operating Procedures for Production and Technical Support areas. Wrote numerous Validation Reports, Post Validation Monitoring Reports and Trend Monitoring Reports. Initiated Plant and Division Change Requests with Quality, Regulatory and Operations input, as part of production support. Reported to Technical Director with matrix reporting to Quality and Operations functions. KEY CONTRIBUTIONS & ACHIEVEMENTS: •Increased first pass quality performance, based on product conformance, from 82% to 95%, improving on-time ship to customer metrics from 88%to 97%. •Led 6 Sigma Continuous Improvement Program for market leading antibiotic resulting in a 30% reduction in analytical testing with an annual cost savings of $230,000. •Successfully Designed and Co-Implemented an MS Access database for collecting and trending product release data and commercial stability data for over 100 Abbott products manufactured at 50+ Third Party Manufacturing Sites. •Increased “Right the First Time” Product Valuation Success Rate from 88% to 98% through implementation of Validation Risk Analysis Procedure for Executive Management Review Team.
