Major accomplishments include:  Team Lead SAN decision team/evaluated EMC DMX 3000, NetApp FAS 980, and HP EVA 8000  Team Lead Server Consolidation Team Consolidate data Center to HP Blade Technology  Team Lead for Data Center Master Agreement Contract between Reed Smith and Lexis Nexis  Conversion from UNIX Legal Office Automation System to PC-based LAN utilizing Novell NetWare 4.1  Converted NetWare 4.1 to 5.0 and ran NT 4.0 directory structure with NDS  Converted File and Print Applications from Netware to a complete Windows Environment saving over $150,000 in maintenance fees and reducing duplicate server environment.  Installed Exchange 4.0, converted to Exchange 5.5 with in place upgrades, converted to Exchange 2003 with swing servers.  Designed and implemented NT 4.0 domain to an Active Directory 2003 tree and forest  Implemented and installed first Blackberry server structure and grew to 1200 Blackberry users.  Investigated and Installed Juniper VPN servers in a failover structure.  Installed Firebox Firewalls in all offices with outward looking ISP connections.  Installed and grew Reed Smith Network through generations of Enterasys Switching hardware.  Merged IS of three major law firms and various practices from 1,000 employees to its current base of 2600.  Replaced nine disparate PBX systems with Nortel switches to achieve consistency and consolidating maintenance budgets.  Implemented border gateway protocol to provide fault tolerant redundancy for interoffice communication.  Managed and implemented a complete carrier change from MCI Frame Relay to Sprint MPLS Network Working (hands-on) manager responsible for:  Corporate IS budget of $4.5 million.  Microsoft Software Assurance and Licensing contract ($2 million).  All Internet points of presence (10 locations).  Corporate frame relay WAN for 16 offices including two UK offices.  Corporate network backbone devices (routers, switches, firewalls, and gateways).  Corporate server farm consisting of over 300 Intel-based servers configured with Microsoft integrated DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory 2000.  Corporate Microsoft Exchange email system.  Corporate PBX systems for headquarters and all branch offices.  Contracts and purchasing for all local and long-distance voice and data communication services.  Video teleconferencing hardware and data communications.  Three-building campus network connected via dark fiber for gigabit access.  Unity voice messaging fully integrated with Microsoft Exchange.  Ten direct reports.
