Daily Duties at Ser Care Life Sciences :

Managed an ISO 9001 and 13485 certified facility manufacturing quality control products derived from infectious human serum and plasma. Trained technicians in cGMP practices and policies to assure compliance meeting high quality manufacturing standards. Collaborated with Product Development and Quality Assurance to plan and execute detailed, time sensitive projects. Reviewed manufacturing documentation for cGMP compliance and documentation accuracy. Opened jobs, issued time and materials to jobs using Ross Renaissance CS inventory control system. Performed employee evaluations and provided coaching to improve proficiency, and improve the quality of work and the professionalism of team members. Scheduled all work for technicians in the department and adjusted the manufacturing schedule as new priorities occurred. Performed cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies when required. Lead a team of skilled technicians aseptically dispensing infectious human serum and plasma using semi automated dispensing pumps and hand held repeating pipettes, performed various procedures including defibrinating plasma, ultra filtration, aseptic filtration, heat and chemical treatment of plasma, formulated quality control products, and formulated buffers. Designed kit labels and vial labels according to specifications. Printed labels for finished products, performed label accountability and reconciliation. Troubleshot and repaired labeling equipment, dispensing equipment, heat shrinker and other laboratory/manufacturing equipment. Wrote and edited numerous manufacturing control procedures. Reviewed testing data of quality control products including HIV RNA, HBV DNA, HCV RNA and other diagnostic test methods for release to finished goods. Reviewed manufacturing batch record for cGMP compliance and accuracy, reviewed equipment use logs and preventive maintenance logs. Trained technicians in proper handling of infectious agents. Trained technicians in handling and transporting chemicals in the laboratory. Trained technicians on ergonomics and implemented job rotation during the shift to reduce the possibility of repetitive work injuries.
