Consultant – Software Developer As a programmer/analyst: designed, developed major functional components of the CoreBuy for TV System. Director of Programming Project Manager: Corebuy TV, CoreBuy Print, and CoreBuy Radio Systems. Developed work breakdown structures, timelines, resource plans for all major system components. Managed staff of 8 programmers: Tasks, project timelines, change control, identified and mitigated project risks. Projects consistently delivered on-time and within budget. Designed and implemented a message queuing function which increased DB processing performance by 50%

Investigating Web Content Management System available as open source..

Currently looking at 2 open source content management packages - Joomla and DotNetNuke.

First observation:

DotNetNuke - more powerful, extend-able, more complex to learn
Jommla - easy to use, a lot of third party modules, plenty of template and internet support.

Will be playing with them over the next few weeks to build my own site IT Consulting LLC.
