Vertical market software provider for media buying and billing with $3M in annual revenue and 24 employees. Recruited back to establish processes, controls, and strategies for project management, product enhancements, workflow, and product migration. Managed team of seven programmers, and business analysts. Implemented a formal Project Management methodology. This resulted in projects being delivered on time, within budget, and improved project deliverables and resource allocation Strengthened internal communications and task scheduling across customer support, development, and QA functions by acquiring and implementing comprehensive workflow system. Customer satisfaction increased by 10% Developed product migration plan to transition legacy product from Visual Foxpro to Microsoft .Net.

Investigating Web Content Management System available as open source..

Currently looking at 2 open source content management packages - Joomla and DotNetNuke.

First observation:

DotNetNuke - more powerful, extend-able, more complex to learn
Jommla - easy to use, a lot of third party modules, plenty of template and internet support.

Will be playing with them over the next few weeks to build my own site IT Consulting LLC.
