Daily Duties at Trw Automotive Occupant Safety Systems:
Manage the packaging engineering and material handling at seven TRW Facilities in the US and Mexico for TRW OSS products including steering wheels, seat belts, passenger and driver air bags and side curtains. Developed and published Packaging and Bar Code Labeling Guidelines for TRW’s 2,000 plus supplier base. Perform packaging, logistics and material handling cost estimations and analysis for TRW’s global customer base for all current and future business. Directed the strategy, negotiation and successful conclusion of a logistics, sequencing and packaging agreement between Mercedes Benz, Vance, AL and four TRW Facilities in the US and Mexico. Serve as packaging, shipping and hazardous material marking and labeling consultant and problem solver for TRW’s 10 North American OSS Facilities. Responsible for approximately $1,000,000.00 in cost avoidance and reductions annually
