Developed efficiency metrics and operating standards for the Indirect Auto credit underwriting staff, resulting in significant decreases in the cost per application. Implemented new processes across six regional locations. Recommended process improvements to banks’ Retail Credit Policy Committee that resulted in enhanced credit quality and increased yields of new loan vintages. Reduced policy exceptions (60%) and improved credit quality by creating and implementing strategies to manage “credit risk points” on a daily basis. Strengthened customer relationships and brand loyalty by providing top quality service with extended service hours and associate availability without increase in costs to the bank. Created a strategy that improved internal cross-functional relationships with banks’ audit, compliance, legal, and risk teams allowing for positive interactive feedback and consensus, facilitating the consolidation and updating of bank Policy and Procedure manuals. Resulted in improved credit quality and consistent buying practices.
