Daily Duties at Fluor Irvine:

Responsibility included front end instrumentation/control systems engineering design (FEED) for new delayed coker plant, sulfur plant and other revamp process units utilizing Rosemount Foundation Fieldbus instrumentation, Honeywell Experion C300 DCS, Triconex Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) safety systems, Foundation Fieldbus instrumentation, Dresser Rand compressor and other associated control/safety systems. Translated customer functional requirements into technical specifications, Process &Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and instrumentation/control/safety cause & effect diagrams. FEED and detailed I & C engineering responsibilities included P&ID and Safety Integrity Levels review, preparation of systems design philosophy, evaluation of alarm management and asset management software systems, control narratives development and project management/scheduling/cost estimating.
