Daily Duties at Self Employed:
As a contractor I have worked through various agencies to fill positions as needed in the accounting and information technology fields. As required by my duties I have used a variety of software programs including the latest version of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, MSWord, Powerpoint) and Salesforce, a client tracking database and ERP system. Accounting/Tax: - Extracted, via VPN network, data uploaded by clients to prepare sales and use tax returns. - Prepared extraction reports in Excel by removing information from superfluous tax periods and adding macros to create filters and format the extracted data. - Used proprietary software to prepared accurate sales and use tax returns for several states and localities from the extraction reports. Information Technology: - Retrieved data uploaded by client, reviewing it for formatting prior to import to a database. - Used proprietary software to verify the accuracy and completeness of uploaded data. - Manually correct data errors when possible, or contact client when error solution was ambiguous. - Tracked client activity and contact through the use of Salesforce tracking ERP system. - Test new version of internally produced software tools prior to general release to internal and external users.
