Tax: - Prepared various tax returns types: including Individual, Corporate and S-Corporate, Partnership, Gifts, Not-for-Profit, and Trust returns. - Made any necessary adjusting entries to client Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss Statements to reconcile the differences between GAAP and Tax accounting. - Communicated with clients (who were frequently frustrated with their tax situation) via phone and e-mail to request additional information for the accurate preparation of their return. Also communicated with the IRS and brokerage houses regarding client situations and accounts. - Researched tax law and IRS regulations, as necessary, to complete clients' returns
