Daily Duties at Lamontage:
My primary function was to take workorders and interpret them into production terms. I closely worked with and supervised a team of about 20 production artisans and despite major language barriers (Chinese and Tibetan) we were able to communicate and get the job done well and meet deadlines. This included resizing standard designs, remixing color fibers and creating a specific recipe for the production team to use, coming up with a collection of new standards, and many times executing difficult custom orders myself. I designed custom artrugs for private clients and businesses by communicating with Interior Designers and regional sales people throughout the country while liaising with the designers as they looked over my samples. I always created samples for approval so everything was layed out visually and clearly.
What they like about Lamontage:
Organizations with strong, centralized leadership are particularly attractive to you. You require a work environment with leadership that aggressively seeks to expand and grow the business and does so in a visible and decisive manner. In general you prefer to work in an environment in which there is a strong link between leadership, its actions, and a strong set of company-wide values.
