Daily Duties at National Cancer Institute's Cancer Information Service:
Provides oversight and management of the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Information Service (CIS) Heartland Region Partnership Program, which serves the states of Kansas, Illinois, Missouri and Nebraska. Responsible for strategically aligning CIS Heartland Partnership Program partner collaborations and resources to address regional cancer health disparities. Provides National Cancer Institute’s programs and materials to regional, state and community partners. Collaborates with and provides capacity-building technical assistance to partners to increase use of NCI materials and other evidence-based cancer prevention and control materials in their program planning. Responsible for contract reporting to the National Cancer Institute’s CIS Project Office. Provide leadership and supervision to seven Partnership Program staff, located both on-site and off-site. Kansas City office is located at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
