Daily Duties at Massachusetts Casualty Insurance Co.:
•Promoted and assigned the task of forming the first internal audit function in the company. • Claims - performed claim audits and provided formal reporting of results and trends to the Vice-President of Claims. • Compliance/Legal - assured adherence to standardized corporate procedures, as well as state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines. • Actuarial - provided assistance and recommendations to the Actuarial Department on claims monetary reserving issues. • IT/Systems - assisted the Systems Department in the creation, design and testing of a new company claims system, necessary to separate Massachusetts Casualty from its dependence on the parent company, Sun Life Financial of Canada’s computer systems and hardware. • Extensive court and deposition appearances and testimony nationwide.
