Daily Duties at Comp Usa :

 Managed staff of 8 for Business Information Systems technical staff (systems analysts, programmers, and systems development).  Directed projects to bring client business requirements through application development process using project lifecycle methodology.  Supervised IT planning/development efforts related to maintenance/enhancement of ongoing business enterprise applications.  Coordinated/managed remote Technical Operations Group in support of day-to-day application maintenance.  Provided IT Management and Steering Committee with scope/nature of service or maintenance requests; suggest courses of action.  Evaluated current system effectiveness and proposed new systems, changes or software packages for continuous improvement. Key Accomplishments:  Implemented enterprise-wide wide-ranging Retail Transformation program to reduce costs in store operations, merchandising, supply chain and finance/administration and enabled future growth. Results: In 2 years, program delivered full cost reduction allowing for expansion and price competitiveness.  Created Web site to accommodate one million + hits per day. Results: Implemented hp AlphaServer systems for high availability, reliability and performance; reduced labor 50%.
