Daily Duties at Chas. S. Lewis & Co., Inc.:

Study and improve CNC machining practices (primarily large/exotic metal). Ensure plant infrastructure reliability. CNC programming. Routing sheet/work traveler authoring. Specify all tooling and provide working parameters/training. Justify and specify machinery and plant capital expenditures. Design fixtures and related workholding aids; oversee fabrication. Supervise and direct maintenance personnel. Select and oversee outside vendor activities. Plan and implement plant infrastructure improvements. Lockout/Tagout administration and training. Narrow-aisle forklift training. Direct factory-wide DNC operations. Drawing, CNC program and work instruction archival. Interface with police, fire and community organizations. Oversee building security; respond to alarms. HAZMAT/Spill cleanup facilitation. Preventive maintenance delineation, scheduling and facilitation. Machine troubleshooting and repair.
