As the Supervisor of Administrative Operations responsibilities included supervising, training and mentoring five administrative staff members as well as serving as administrative assistant to the CEO. The administration department comprised of two secretarial staff; the group term life insurance program, which serviced approximately 2,000 client policies; and the common remitter program, which processed an average of $750,000 in client investment contributions per day with less than a 1% error ratio. Coordinated and took minutes at Board of Directors and Stockholders meetings. Planned and coordinated company events such as internal sales contest award events and Board of Directors retreats. Responsibilities as the Financial and Operations Principal included assisting the CEO in the development of the Firms’ annual budget; tracking the Firm’s annual budget and reporting to the CEO; review and approval of monthly journal entries and accruals; preparation of monthly net capital computations to ensure the firm maintained minimum capital requirements set by the SEC; preparation and electronic filing of required quarterly FOCUS reports; coordination with accounting department and independent auditors for preparation of annual audited financial statements; and served as one of nine senior managers responsible for corporate planning and decision making.
