Raw Materials and Packaging • Managed the corporate purchasing liaison for Beverages and Food Services among 20 Nestle factories in North America, managing supplier quality and ensuring the implementation of strategic cost savings projects • Identified the business units requirements to define the saving opportunities within each spend category • Led the alignment with global procurement initiatives and executed procurement contracts in various categories including packaging, ingredients, and commodities with a total spend of USD 600 million • Developed excellent knowledge of Juice market, seasonality, international players and material handling through managing the operational purchasing for the juice category with a total budget of USD 0.5 billion • Managed the strategic purchasing for Nestle tea category with a total spend of USD 25 million • Was select in the Core Cross-Function Team for Nestle Andersen Plant, Nestle largest beverage factory worldwide to establish the raw materials ordering and material handling strategies Contract Manufacturing • Facilitated and managed material supply among plants and co-manufacturing facilities, • Led the co-manufacturing strategy implementation in alignment with Nestle global procurement initiatives • Developed negotiation strategy and led negotiations, implemented and managed master contracts • Initiated RFQs, using Ariba Sourcing, and maintained SAP GLOBE contracts with single or multi-level pricing • Evaluated suppliers, negotiated pricing and implemented best practices to improve processes and strategies • Led the company’s Preferred Supplier performance review and ensured alignment with global sourcing.
