• Identified global cost reduction and production improvement initiatives and delivered savings through optimizing specification, sourcing arrangements, and negotiations across Nestle Confectionery Factories • Analyzed the supply demand interfaces through cost drivers, product/portfolio segmentation and channels • Worked in 15 countries: Ukraine, Chile, Ecuador, Malaysia, India, Australia, Switzerland, Turkey, Romania, UK, Brazil and Italy and worked closely with Zone Purchasing, factory management, logistics, marketing and finance to derive saving potentials, ensure feasibility and gain management commitment to attainable savings • Participated in global initiatives to optimize cocoa among various countries and multiple zones • Participate in cross function teams responsible for global purchasing of confectionery raw materials and particularly cocoa and flavors. • Identified cost optimization initiatives and strategic alliances that were implemented in various markets • Contributed to the development of Nestle Confectionery Best-in-Class Repository • Participated in a Raw Material Harmonization project covering 5 markets (UK, France, Spain, Portugal and Poland) to develop and apply Nestle harmonization methodology to Breakfast Cereals • Participated in a regional Spend Analysis project on the MRO for Nestle Zone Europe, based in Germany • Supported factories in exploring improvement potentials and defining saving targets, by using the Best In Class Repository and the benchmarks from comparable factories • Achieved high level of savings through leveraging volumes by unifying supply sources across various markets, which resulted in total savings of USD 25 million over a course of ten international projects • Achieved savings of USD2.5 million by identifying shifting the glucose sourcing for the Australian confectionery factories
