Daily Duties at Vanguard National Trailer :
This company fabricated and manufactured semi trailers with assembly line processes for the heavy duty transportation industry. Convertible / flexible line Streamlined a complete assembly line. Executed a plan for 30% increased though put with 50% decreased in service / quality issues. Proved to the board of directors and our overseas investors that the investment of 480K would generate a 100% ROI (return on investment) in less than one year. Became a part of there problem solving team, implementing changes for accountability in quality and processes in manufacturing. Crafted scope of work documents and specifications for purchasing new equipment and worked with vendors to complete there portions on time and under budget. Cost of tooling has been reduced by 20% in one department alone. Increased FPY (First Pass Yield) by 60% by using best practice methods and proper training. Implemented a monitoring system to control quality and reduce reaction time. I also used this to keep our associates accountable for craftsmanship. I chaired a team to build the build the lightest, most aerodynamic and most practical fuel saving green trailer in the industry.
