Daily Duties at California Family Health Council, Inc.:

Ran operations within the Planning & Policy division for a leading non-profit. Led organization with strategic and communications planning across six divisions. Restructured and strengthened public policy working closely with advocates, local, state, and Congressional leaders in Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Washington D.C. Enhanced fundraising and business development activities. Reported to President and CEO. • Designed and implemented the budget/strategic planning process for the Council and its 67 delegate agencies throughout California (Annual Revenues: $30- $45 million). • Managed division P&L of $1-4 million. • Led the Strategic Planning and Public Policy Committees for the Council’s 29-member Board of Directors. • Coordinated the public policy function in Sacramento, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. • Supervised business development for the organization raising in excess of $60 million dollars working with foundations and local stakeholders with a 92 percent success rate. • Analyzed and interpreted complex statistical and policy data from federal, state, and local sources used in high level negotiations with the Board of Directors and Members of Congress. • Restructured public relations/communications and marketing functions to increase market presence and connect delegate agencies, volunteers, advocates and community. • Revamped the company website, created the News and Views e-newsletter, and worked with local and national Media on national campaigns to increase access to services. • Supervised a Public Policy Analyst, Special Projects Analyst, Special Projects Assistant, Financial Analyst, Business Development Analyst, Lobbyist, communications/public relations/marketing team and statistical consultants.
