Daily Duties at Federal Railroad Administration:
Directed inspection teams on multiple major switching railroads. Served as the liaison officer to Washington, D.C. headquarters. Spearheaded major accident investigations and after action reports. Conducted railroad inspections throughout a two-state territory within the region’s boundaries, and participated in national team inspections. Consulted with railroad companies to create a rapport ensuring compliance with federal regulations through action plans. • Personally instituted a series of recommendations that enhanced railroad operating procedures nationwide; • By-name selection as lead investigator to a Metra passenger train derailment at Chicago’s LaSalle Street Station which subsequently completely revamped training requirements for all track maintenance personnel.
