Daily Duties at Unisys Corporation:
• Being the primary DBA for Oracle Financials, led a team of 8 DBAs and responsible for maintaining, deploying and tuning applications for US Govt. Departments of DHS and TSA. (Oracle Financials and J2EE). Responsibilities included: administration, performance tuning and availability of mission critical production databases (24 hour, 7 days/week); application of patches and custom code development, testing, UAT and brining it to production • Deployed new web applications into system integration and into production after their testing. Managed troubleshooting of all production issues and recommended enhancements to the applications. Tested and implemented several security patches on the databases upgrades (Oracle Financials and Application Servers). • Installed and maintained a three nodes cluster RAC database. • Performed cold and hot backups and recovery using RMAN. • Mentored DBAs in resolving a variety of DBA issues including troubleshooting of applications.
