Daily Duties at Toyota Financial Services:
• Led the company's transition to Oracle10g by establishing the environments for development, testing and production. This effort included: server and client software installations, software upgrades, developer and end-user training, backup and recovery procedures, instance and application tuning, database security, and migration scripts. • Provided functionality outside of the core development effort by utilizing special software like SIEBEL and TREMA. • Developed procedures to load data from several main frame systems into Oracle, using PL/SQL, other database packages, SQL*Loader and UNIX shell scripts. • Significantly improved the performance of databases through development and execution of scripts. Before tuning queries took 5 to 8 minutes to return the results. After tuning, they took few seconds to get the results
