Daily Duties at Home Savings Of America:

Manager Network Engineering: Responsible for the corporate and branch LAN / WAN which includes an interconnected 5 building campus with WAN connectivity to 620 branches across four states. Responsibilities include product development, budgeting, contract negotiations, implementation, process management, vendor relations, and third level support. • Removed 900 unsecured modems from campus desktops and replaced it with dial-out secured modem pools, also included were 200 dial-in users. Project was completed on schedule, under budget with an annual cost savings of over $100,000.00. • Converted 650 loan agents from AT&T Easy Link to our campus remote access system. Project was completed as scheduled, under budget with an annual cost savings of over $250,000.00. • Converted 620 savings branches from DDS multi-drop circuits to Frame-Relay, using Cisco 2504 routers and Racal Excalibur DSU’s. Project completed as scheduled. • Responsible for quarterly testing of our Branch disaster recovery plan. Telecommunications Manager: Manage a staff of nine Telecommunication Support Personnel responsible for implementation and support of the associations LAN/WAN projects. Develop Policies, Procedures and negotiate equipment/maintenance contracts. • Managed installation of the 2 million dollar infrastructure upgrade employing our first campus routers (10 Cisco AGS+) and intelligent hubs to support 3,000 users. • Developed CAT5 wiring standard. Managed the migration over a two year period. • Managed WAN installation of our 120 lending offices.
