Daily Duties at Usaa:
Produces policy and claims service for personal lines of insurance for all U.S. states, to include complex policy service issues, related accounting questions and adjustments, and/or moderately-complex first and third party Auto and Property express claims; counsels members on sensitive insurance matters to include cohabitation, separation, divorce, and estate; furnishes these duties in conjunction with previously acquired skills to maintain proficiency; provides member guidance on policy coverage, and their purpose and application; responds to change requests in accordance with members’ needs and company procedures; collects information necessary to appropriately underwrite polices for risk acceptability and to price the product; receives and records initial loss reports; verifies coverage and addresses immediate questions regarding the claim process; recommends solutions to mitigate damages and/or refer members to appropriate contractor(s); handles employee accounts; resolves or makes recommendations on members’ complex issues; point of contact for peers to approve or disapprove member requests and/or member complaints; and applies knowledge of policy coverage and local laws to investigate moderate-complexity Auto and Property claims.
