Daily Duties at James Hardie Building Products:

• Responsible for environmental compliance, safety programs and industrial hygiene initiatives at Fontana manufacturing site which consisted of three manufacturing plants and an R&D facility. • Re-aligned safety responsibilities and responses to support business initiative to stay below incident rate of 2 and severity rate of 20. • Participated in team, which developed a comprehensive national safety and industrial hygiene audit in order to support 2& 20 initiate. • Led Safety Audit group for West Cost region. • Led the effort to get senior leadership and mftg managers to participate and drive this system. • Established cross functional groups consisting of management and hourly employees with set hazard and severity reduction objectives aimed at fostering team work and a shared responsibility dynamic at manufacturing site. • Responsible Monthly, quarterly and annual reports and inspections submitted to federal and state environmental and safety agencies. • Negotiated air permit compliance levels with South Coast Air Quality Management Department for new manufacturing plant on Fontana site. • Trained all onsite employees at monthly safety seminars and inducted all new hires into environmental, health and safety program prior to starting hands on employment. • Participated in the recruitment and selection of plant management team and hourly employees
