Daily Duties at University Of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center:
For one of 41 national comprehensive cancer centers, managed the safety and regulations for all protocols offered by the Blood and Marrow Transplant Division to ensure corporate and federal compliance with regulatory requirements. Served as a liaison and division representative for internal research teams and supervisory committees as well as external vendors and safety monitoring groups. Supervised and trained a junior colleague. • Managed a team of 7 physicians, 2 research nurses, and 6-10 data managers to ensure regulatory compliance with federal and local guidelines and proper prioritization of deadlines on 40+ competing protocols • Facilitated the development of and beta tested a web-based research management and tracking system allowing the pilot program to be released three months ahead of schedule • Created a new adverse event reporting process, advised management on its adoption, and trained Clinical Trials Office staff on its use reconciling all outstanding reports for my team within in one month • Supervised FDA New Drug Application processes on early stage research trials
