Daily Duties at Buyerzone.Com:
• Lead Front-End developer for a Java based lead-generation website utilizing JavaScript, CSS and HTML. • Successfully designed, engineered and launched international version of the site for the UK. • Implemented advanced JavaScript/jQuery techniques in delivering innovative features such as an auto-advance features to let users step through survey question set pages quickly. • Authored Ajax based forms to help customers complete question sets without leaving current pages. • Developed and maintained high-ranking SEO landing pages. • Managed SVN code repository and code deployments for web-dev projects. Also performed pre and post launch QA to ensure bugs are not launched to the live site. • Implemented Twitter site to inform customers about business related news stories, new category launches and improved site features. • Developed separate blog sites for company use and for customer facing communications. • Worked with business owners to gather and define new site projects, develop project plans, work with the web development team to build the projects and ensure timely deployment. • Researched and implemented new search solution for both US & UK sites using Google Mini Search Appliance. Analyzed weekly search statistics to understand what customers are searching for and how to best optimize the site pages to return relevant results. • Performed in-person usability tests with new and existing customers to help validate new design layouts, functional enhancements and also identify areas for improvement. • Prepared test strategies for online split (A/B) tests to optimize new designs, ensure pages positively influence conversion rates, and gain a better insight into customer behavior. • Worked on a complete site rebuild that involved converting the existing static site into a CMS driven site using Alfresco and FreeMarker. Built several new XML templates for use with the new CMS. • Managed relationships with third-party vendors for site analytics and site search.
