Daily Duties at Nationwide Insurance:

Review and settle med-pay, liability and bodily injury claims, some severe, for both homeowners and auto policy customers. Meet and interview policyholders, claimants, witnesses and police officers face-to-face. Conduct accurate scene investigations and inspect/photograph vehicles as needed. Report findings and negotiate settlement with the claimant and/or their attorney. Work with in house trial division when necessary for court approval. Successfully use structured settlements to resolve claims. Work with Special Investigations unit to identify fraudulent claims. Research case law and statutes as necessary. Handle every file according to Best Claims Practices. Accomplished and/or exceeded set objectives. Proven skills of quality decision making, composure, technical knowledge, and acts with integrity and trust. Highly self motivated and able to work without direct supervision. Encourage teamwork within the unit and act as a team leader for all unit activities. Facilitate training as requested. Act as Claims Manager while assigned CM is away from the office. Mentor and train new associates. Recognized for world class customer service.
