Daily Duties at Bowyer Singleton And Associates:
· Make studies and collect data on current marketing conditions to keep informed on market trends; interview salesmen regarding ordering of supplies · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Research and evaluate suppliers based on price quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and supplier’s reputation and history · Attend trade shows also research the internet, catalogs, trade journals and periodicals with other departments and personnel to locate necessary goods and services and identify other trends in the market · Order supplies, materials or equipment as needed to maintain inventory needs negotiation the lowest possible cost for the merchandise and the availability · Check bill of lading with quantities ordered inspect merchandise make any corrections to billing and to final invoicing · Review and negotiate business contracts from suppliers and customers and to be able to tract the orders to assure delivery as promised · Establish good working relationships with vendors through personal and telephone contact; discuss and resolve problems regarding delayed delivery dates. Return damaged or incorrect items to vendors and process necessary paperwork for credit · Record and maintain databases in Excel and Access for inventory supply control · Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure
