Daily Duties at Abbot Medical Optics:
• Demand Flow Technology/Lean Manufacturing set up and execution for finished medical devices and service sub assemblies • Service Forecasting and planning • Change order approval and implementation • Master Schedule entry for completed units • Set up shipments of finished goods to distribution centers • Compiling and maintaining manual and computerized records of shipping schedules, material inventory, in-process production reports, status and location of materials • Cycle count and reconciliation • BOM and Router maintenance and clean up (computing amount of material required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes) • Work order release and serial number maintenance • Financial closing of both repetitive and discreet work orders • Work with receiving inspection to expedite material to the floor • Work with Research and Development for new product introduction and development • Coordinate flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities • Review production schedules and related information and confer with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material shortage • Requisition material and establish sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability • Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules • Transport materials from one department to another, manually or using material handling equipment • Arrange for repair and assembly of materials or parts
