ERA, and Electronic claims • Organized and implemented cash flow process and defined policy and procedure • Created monthly collection cash goal and maintained number to exceed expected revenue. • Organized physician charting, coding and currently directing new software implementation • Monitor all unapplied cash daily basis • Monitor Billing and Charge Entry • Train staff and create positive influence for staff • Managed all hiring and assisted peer interviewing • Monitor Payments and Contractual posting • Maintains daily balanced reports, receipt books, • Examines insurance payments for accuracy and thoroughness according to contracted fee schedule • Completes insurance & hospital credentialing applications. • Prepares balance sheet for daily close to ensure payments match proper patient account rec • Performs pre-audit functions for all Medicare & commercial payments • Interacts with coding and insurance specialists regarding insurance changes or payment • Receives direction and supervision from the CEO • Works closely with the IS Department to assure that department appropriate software is intact • Provides direction and supervision to Billing Department staff. • Coordinates with agency-wide management team on areas of responsibility. • Hires, orients, trains and supervises employees in designated areas of responsibility. • Provides direction and supervision to the staff of the Accounting Department that performs the Billing functions. • Develops and maintains appropriate job descriptions for reporting staff. • Evaluates staff on an ongoing basis for the purpose of performance evaluation • Ensures timely and accurate billing of all patient accounts in accordance with State and Federal regulations. • Assures accurate diagnosis and surgical procedure coding through education and oversight. • Promotes an environment for open communication, professionalism, continued education and team building. • Communicates to staff regarding the agency's vision, mission, goals and objectives. • Establishes and communicates departmental goals and objectives. • Communicates to upper management regarding employee issues and successes. • Plans and communicates budgetary needs of the department for resources such as staff and equipment. • Performs other duties as assigned consistent with skills and training and goals and mission of the • Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns; • Employee orientation, development, and training; • Policy development and documentation; • Employee services and counseling
