Acquired this $12 million custom picture frame manufacturer -Provided the vision and decisive leadership required for transitioning the company from a mediocre production organization into a best-of-breed manufacturing enterprise producing high-quality product for the commercial and consumer markets. • Launched a new market development program to expand into various industries outside of the company’s basic industry which increased sales 27% and achieved a net margin increase of 30%. • Reduced operating expenses by 56% and manufacturing variances by 72%, increased gross margin by 18%, and reversed a 20% profit loss to a 12% EBIT. • Negotiated/secured financing for working capital and redesigned virtually all business, marketing, purchasing, product development, manufacturing, technology and administrative processes • Exit Strategy - Achieved turnaround and performance improvement results, making the company an attractive acquisition. Structured and negotiated the sale of the company in 2001.
