Daily Duties at Waterford Crystal Lighting:

Grew the lighting business from $6.5 million to $16.5 million in less than three years, while improving EBITDA by over $3.0 million. • Increased margins from 30.6% to 41.7% while continuing to drop low margin under performing SKU’s. Introduced new products with substantially higher margin targets; 45% minimum, 50% target. • Generated a 77% increase in the higher priced, higher margin chandelier business, based on promotions, new products and innovative chandelier displays. Developed plans for chandeliers from Wedgwood, Michael Aram, and Vera Wang. • Established Waterford galleries to leverage the Waterford name in lighting and furniture stores. In these galleries lamps sales increased by more than 9 times and chandeliers by more than 15 times, due to displaying products together in Waterford galleries. • Decreased manufacturing variances by $500,000/year by moving from a “build to backorder” production system, by establishing a “PSI process” to increase sales/turns, and improve customer service.

What they like about Waterford Crystal Lighting:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
