Daily Duties at Service School Command Great Lakes Us Navy:

As shift supervisor, oversaw the operations and maintenance of the GL-47 gas turbine propulsion plant trainer. Supervised the third shift Advanced Hot Plant and Advanced Operator Training instructors. Provided instruction for the Senior Officer Ship’s Material Readiness Course, Prospective Engineer Officer Course, Senior Enlisted Propulsion Engineering Course and Advanced Operator Training in proper operation of the gas turbine electric plant. Supervised the instruction and maintenance of the Advance Operator Training and Advanced Hot Plant courses of instruction. As instructor evaluator, assessed the performance of instructors in five different courses. Performed preventive and corrective maintenance to two GE LM2500 gas turbines, two Allison 501-K34 gas turbine generators and associated equipment. Performed calibration of mechanical and electronic instruments. As supply petty officer, ordered and maintained repair parts required to perform equipment maintenance. Established controlled material program. Watch duties included: Engineering Officer of the Watch, Electric Plant Control Console Operator, Propulsion and Auxiliary Control Console Operator, Engineering Duty Officer and Building Security.
