Headed the management and underwriting areas of a $35M (in premium) captive insurance program that focused on providing D&O, E&O, EPL, and various other insurance products. Updated and computerized the manual underwriting process that was previously utilized. Established verifiable pricing parameters that tracked exposure changes for each product in the portfolio. Ensured that proper underwriting controls were in place and instituted changes as requested by the reinsurers. Managed the underwriting of the Professional Liability Program for Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans. Negotiated reinsurance arrangements both domestically and worldwide.
