Daily Duties at Managing Attorney:

• In March 2004, opened House Counsel Office. • Purchased equipment and opened business accounts. • Hired 3 attorneys and 3 legal assistants. • Implemented work processes for attorneys and legal assistants. • Evaluate work product and prepare annual and semiannual evaluations. • Prepare and administer Individual Development Plans for all personnel. • Prepare and administer salary evaluations. • Oversee work flow and distribute assignments. • Conduct meetings between legal and claim’s management to identify those opportunities to increase productivity and decrease costs. • Reduced costs and expenses by 10% per year by increasing the number of new files and increasing file closure rates. Also reduced deposition and medical examination costs. • Increased productivity by 5% to 10% per year by taking-in more files and reducing the number of support staff. • Mentor and coach support staff and attorneys in order to achieve increased productivity at a lesser cost. • Buffalo has reduced file pending times (days a file stays open) by nearly 10% per year. The faster the file closes, the more cost effective the file handling was. • Work with customer to be the most cost effective House Counsel Office in the State of New York. • Participated in training for Targeted Selection (hiring), Performance Management (coaching) and Leadership. • Received training in Taking the High Road (harassment). • Perform all activities necessary for case preparation and eventual trial. • I continue to try cases, approximately 6 per year.
