Daily Duties at Safeway Inc:
• Improved execution of promotion at stores and reduced out of stock while increasing sell thru. • Developed joint Supply Chain action plans and continuously measured KPI’s for improvement. • Responsible for process development, standardization and continuous improvement in areas like Supply Chain Optimization, Rapid Replenishment, and Vendor Management & Operations Planning. • Developed and presented the business unit's quarterly and annual status/progress updates to divisional and corporate management. • Managed and reduced Aged Inventory, and dump loss of code-dated items with Procurement. • Developed both strategic and tactical solutions for Safeway's Supply Chain. • Work collaboratively with suppliers in defining product movement solutions, Scorecard, Next Generation Vendor Inventory Management project management. • Able to identify problem and gather resources from cross-functional teams to reach desired goal and root cause analysis. Forecasting • Responsible for processes that translated raw sales data into meaningful demand forecast for use in promotion planning, production planning and inventory planning. • Provided guidance in Forecast/Demand planning with procurement and corporate plants, category and vendors to improve Service levels, increase turns, and reduce OOS and aged inventory. • Implemented strategies for supply chain teams to improve the level of forecast accuracy. Analysis • Forecast Analysis - Compared actual sales to forecasts and develop models to predict forecasts for upcoming months based on past sales data and projections from marketing. • Trend Analysis - Evaluated the sales trend by analyzing the deviation between actual sales and forecast and adjust forecasts accordingly. • Process Flow Analysis- analyzed the flow of material and information in various processes to eliminate bottlenecks and make them seamless for retail. Project Management • Created innovative pallet programs with single & multi-vendor to increase efficiency and reduce cost and improve execution at store level. • Executed vendor managed inventory program using Electronic Data Interchange formats and statistical methodologies to forecast and maintain correct inventory. • Developed and managed exit strategy for discontinued items, code date items and communicated changes in inventory levels and their impact on shipments to the Operations and Category team. • Executed Live Event Management to support stores daily during the promotion and increase in-stock conditions • Assisted vendors to implement Rapid Replenishment program with our warehouses, working with cross-functional teams to ensure to meet requirements and put process in place to make it seamless for the warehouse and retail. Created and followed up on time lines to move along the project. Training • Karass Negotiation training. • Advanced Excel and QMF knowledge. • Communication Styles and Franklin Time management workshop. • Presentation Training.
