Daily Duties at Convergys:
Recruiter Managed key recruitment and staffing initiatives for a 3,000 seat call center facility. Developed and implemented strategies to position the company as a talent organization who focuses on matching the right individual to the right role. Refined and managed to consistent recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes that support a highly positive candidate experience and recruiter/hiring manager efficiencies. Designed and delivered management development to increase interviewing and selection acumen of hiring managers, as well as increase awareness of legal issues in the hiring process. •Assessed hiring needs of multiple clients to include AT&T, Home Depot, Comcast, Mediacom, Sunbeam, Charter and Network Appliance; conducted initial interviews over the telephone as well as in person; attending various job fairs and visiting college campuses to recruit; determined recruiting strategies within budget. •Created and placed employment advertisements with local newspapers, colleges, employment agencies. •Worked with account managers to establish advertisement guidelines. Kept detailed records of employment advertisements and ensure accurate information for advertisements. •Operated internal HRIS systems. •Worked with internal account managers to enhance the level of service that the recruiter provided. •Drove external agencies (television, radio, etc.) to produce and air recruiting commercials. Convergys Employee Relations Associate, HR (Promoted to Recruiter) Provided consulting expertise to approximately 30 partners, management and staff on all employee relations issues including EEO law and firm policies/practices; reviewed and analyzed trends to develop or refine diversity, work-life, or other HR programs; developed and implemented training on HR related subjects (employment law, diversity, management practices, etc.); advised partners and management on adverse actions; conducted adverse impact analyses; investigate EEO concerns; made recommendations and implemented solutions based on issues investigation processes, attended unemployment hearings, prepared summary report of employee relations issues. •Assisted with interpreting, researching, and advising on policies procedures such as: employee relations, turnover, and other HR related issues. •Served as an information resource for management regarding routine employee relation issues: including informational articles, brochures, and policies. •Collaborated with other members of Human Resources to develop materials that update and inform management on pertinent work force issues and concerns. •Assisted with coordinating community events and programs such as United Way, Blood Drives, etc. •Researched routine employee issues. Conducted orientation and employment law seminars.
