Accomplishments • For a start-up financial services company Alex created the User Experience (Information Architecture and Visual Design) for a debt exchange application where large multi-national organization could search, view and purchase blocks of debt. Excess debt is posted to the exchange on a daily basis and is available for purchase in real-time. • For a start-up financial services company Alex created the User Experience that would aggregate account balances from various banks and credit cards and present them for access by an individual user in one interface. For that time, the concept was revolutionary. The application tapped into the ATM global network aggregating information on individual accounts. The presentation layer organized the information by account and provided visual queues, alerts and email notifications on preferences set by the user. • For a start-up cord blood banking organization Alex created a portal where customers and doctors could access information about cord blood banking and then communicate the benefits of stem cell research. At that time stem cell research and cord blood banking was in its infancy.
What they like about Event Zero:
Working for a company with an emphasis on social values and helping society is a clear and important priority for you - a critical factor in who you choose to work for. In contrast to other factors, you place an organization's reputation for fairness and concern for the community above most other aspects of the company. As you search for a new job opportunity, it is usually possible to find out if the company is involved in the community and/or if it is addressing problems and issues in society. Pay special attention to non-profit organizations and those specifically involved in social action. Moreover, speaking with current and former employees should enlighten you to perceptions of the fairness of the company's leaders and the treatment of employees.
