Daily Duties at Jazd Markets:

• User experience lead and a core member of the engineering team. • Life cycle implementation responsibility in an agile development process. • Developed a state-of-the art User Experience including information architecture and visual design for the companies Software as A Service Platform, incorporating the latest in web 2.0 features. • Developed a sustainable user interface model that could be branded for limitless JAZD clients using CSS as the driving factor. The design will allow JAZD to almost instantly launch a new client directory. • Developed a unique stateless (web 2.0) faceted search module offering limitless nodes for any taxonomy. • Developed a stateless user experience (web 2.0), allowing contextually relevant content to populate and swap with every user interaction. This interface opened up a new revenue stream for the company that previously didn’t exist. • Created a unique table based interface (web 2.0) with embedded controls for the application, allowing users to efficiently and easily enter significant amounts of data. • Created a sustainable visual identity for both the directory service and the application portal. • Worked hand-in-hand with the engineering team using technologies such as AJAX, GWT, ExtJS and FLEX, all the way through to implementation. • Collaborated closely with engineering, (database engineers and Java engineers) negotiating Ux requirements/design for successful integration with back-end technologies. • Created Usability Test Plan and Scripts. Led usability study and analysis. • Evaluated quality and consistency of implementation, identified, logged and reported bugs. Made suggestions for correcting issues. • Created both the directory services website and application portal in 8 sprints with 2 ½ week cycles. Participated in daily engineering scrum sessions. Accomplishments • Created the User Experience for the JAZD vertical directory as a state of the art search-engine-optimized platform assuring that highly motivated buyers find the right-fit sellers of the products that they are looking to purchase. The JAZD Directory combines a comprehensive list of directory features, community forums, advertiser resources and analytics all powered by Web 2.0 technology into a complete buyer experience.
