Daily Duties at Mactec:
• Technical writing of reports and proposals, • Research and review of regulatory reports, • Extensive file reviews and investigation, • Site visits, file reviews, and aerial photograph reviews for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in South Florida as per the 2005 ASTM. • Sampling design and analysis planing, • Phase II soil and groundwater sampling as per FDEP SOPs, • Soil screening and cataloging, • Interpretation of chemical analysis, • Determination of pollutants and their extent in the soil and groundwater, • Project coordination, • Client and regulatory correspondence, and • Field supervision of drilling personnel (3-10 people) as well as excavation crews (15-20 people). Clients have included: • Local Regulatory and governmental entities such as the Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM), the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), the Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCP), the Miami Dade Aviation Department (MDAD), Port of Miami, and MARENA (Nicaragua); • Private clients such as Chevron-Texaco, SEARS Holdings Corporation, and several local Banks.
