Daily Duties at Magnolia Plumbing And Heating:

I actualy went through several different roles at Magnolia.I started out there working in the R-Dept doing re-pipes and a one weekend per month emergency on call detail.If you understand service work and repipes than you know that the individual is responsible for every aspect of the job including customer service, job pricing, performing all tasks of the job.All paper work and collecting at conclusion of all jobs other than commercial accounts.I than switched to new projects like a six storie condo building or a complete re-pipe in an industrial settings like the main pumpimg station of WASA,(Water and Sewer Authority of Washington,DC.)this was a very complex job.My responsibilites while with Magnolia ran from A-Z.The last year I was there I switched into the service dept full time.The service department work included from residential to industrial and every thing in between.From repairing/replacing piping from one half inch in diameter up to twelve inch pipe in diameter.Working on or replacing booster pupms for multi storie buildings.If you can name it I have problably worked on, installed new ,replaced ,or repaired just about every type of piping system or appurtenances related to them.Safety was always top priority.I worked primarily in Washington,DC. I also did jobs in Maryland an Northern,Virginia. I have worked in or on many Federal jobs/sites. Hospitals etc.

Proficient at all of the following., Soldering,Brazing,Roll and Groove,Cutting and Threading,Solvent Weld,NoHub,Pack and Pour Led,Push Joints., Ductile Iron Mechanical Joints, Copper,Carbon Steel,Stainless Steel,Ductile Iron,Poly Vinyl Chloride, Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride., Cast Iron,and SDR piping., Copper pipe in grades of DWV, M,L,and K, Steel piping in schedule 40,and 80, PVC and CPVC in shedules of 40 and 80, PVC,and CPVC in CTS sizes., Stainless Tube and Corrugated Stainless Tube., Various other Mechanical joints: Flanged, Reading blue prints, Coordinated prints,Architechtural,Plan Views,Riser Diagrams, Installation of and/or supervision of lay outs for equipment,piping sytem paths ,elevations,inverted elevations., All proper locations of appurtenances of plumbing,heating,cooling,and other types of piping arangements and systems., Knowledge of natural gas systems and others listed above., Very well versed in plumbing codes, fuel gas codes., Extremely Thorough, Managing Others, Operating equipment, Use of torches for brazing and cutting
