Daily Duties at Unison Industries (Subsidiary Of Ge):
Facility consists of 750 employees spread throughout four aircraft engine tube plants and one shipping/receiving warehouse all separately located within one to two miles of the others. Manages staff consisting of one EHS engineer, four EHS technicians, one EHS administrator, and one facility nurse. Provides leadership for developing and implementing multi-plant EHS compliance and management system programs. Develops strategies to insure compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations and GE EHS policies, working with manufacturing leadership to initiate and influence integration of EHS policies and practices into the business. Leads site OSHA VPP Star program. Drives effective EHS training and operational audits and ensures timely closure of action items. Oversees environmental permitting and regulatory reporting for Federal, State, and internal GE programs, interacting with governmental agencies. Maintains EHS accounts within budget.
