Daily Duties at Venetian Hotel:

Responsible for increasing revenues in the convention and large scale meeting market segment. Led team to achieve record breaking room, food and beverage and rental income goals annually over my tenure. Worked with meeting planners in Association, Corporate, Incentive and For Profit Organizers. Used my Meeting Planning background to launch new conventions and events working with various partners. Created the largest trade show launch in the US in 2005 with an event that floored 237,000 net square feet. Actively sold to the Nation's largest Incentive and Association planners. Responsible for changing relationship between the property and area hotel stakeholders to increase the business opportunities for all of our business. Acted as a Convention and Visitors Authority for our area, working to compile room blocks, space and food and beverage needs with multiple properties. In person presentations to Board of Directors and High Level Management in order to achieve business. Was able to contract several of the Nation's largest Association Trade Shows which had never considered Las Vegas as a serious convention destination. Communicated to other sales staff sales strategies to assist us in reaching our goal. Oversee administration and convention coordinator staff communicating to them the manner to execute events. Daily prospecting and face to face calls on customers across the country. Large deal maker with contracts averaging over $750,000 per event. Long term relationship building process for the opportunities we were seeking. Maintain budgets and reports for leadership. Communication with Ownership regarding trends and potential business partners. Marketing and public relations work to provide exposure of our facility and ability to use the venue to provide greatest chance of success.
