Daily Duties at Platinum Hotel & Spa:
Took over the property while it was running at 18% occupancy and grew occupancy to 85% within a 45 day time frame. Managed all marketing, public relations, website management, catering, in house hotel programs, relationship with Preferred Hotels, relationship with Ownership and other Marcus Hotels, 3rd party Internet planners, Internet Social Media and Key Word Search programs and Hotel promotions to drive local business on property. Held goals which were achieved on a quarterly basis. Managed the Convention, Entertainment, Corporate and Association markets for the hotel. Catering and restaurant menu development. Reports for Ownership on a timely basis. Leading a staff of 9 providing leadership regarding contract negotiations and sales strategies. Improve sales process of staff and provide an environment that preaches Ownership of their duties on the team. Went from unknown property to becoming the #3 Hotel Ranked in Popularity by Trip Advisor. Represented the property with local tourism bureau and through trade shows to promote property. Actively sold through face to face appointments with key decision makers.
