Daily Duties at Carl Zeiss Meditec:

Charged with developing vision, mission, and strategies to improve the order management process relative to backlogs, manufacturing, forecasting/demand and shipping for the global Ophthalmology Division. Accomplishments:  Managed staff of 15 people. Fostered a new team approach increasing morale, job satisfaction and productivity  Identified root causes and eliminated waste to eliminate backlog, improving shipping products and increasing sales by 95% within two months after implementing DMAIC/Six Sigma. Used lean tools: kaizen events, Kan Ban and Just in time methodology along with the chain.  Delivered 60% cost reduction for RMAs, 98% accuracy for worldwide orders, and 98% accuracy for booking orders – response time under service level agreement (SLA) by leveraging management process and metrics reports to perform consistently effectiveness and productivity.  Improved and eliminated key product (Cirrus) backlog by coordinating order forecasting with marketing, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, logistics and shipping and streamlining the processes.  Developed and delivery metrics reports monthly and quarterly per country, affiliates and US territory to monitor revenue and backlog  Enhanced customer satisfaction by partnering with other business areas to develop an issue-escalation program for sales, HR, customer service and finance.  Implementation and execution of SAP/CRM application for order management and sales.
