Daily Duties at American Express Travel:
Coordinated domestic & international reservations, QC, standard and STP ticketing on multibank desk. Personal agent to the President and Presidents Administrative assistant at large international company in New Berlin, WI. Onsite agent working within large international companies coordinating domestic and international airline reservations. Negotiating and booking long-term hotel and car rentals. Procuring visas and passports. Assisted the Meeting & Event Coordinator for Harley Davidson Motorcycle Dealer shows. Responsible for setting up domestic & international airline reservations including booking the contracted hotels and transportation. Developed relationship with travel agency venders, airlines, car rental agencies and other travel service providers to develop and implement programs, which best supported the company’s business requirements. Assisted with the negotiation and administration of existing and new travel-related policies. Helped implement the Hearth Agent program by being the first agent in the Midwest to successfully work from home for seven years. Worked split shifts from home to ensure staffing requirements were met. Floated to other offices to provide support as needed to maintain customer service levels. Trained new agents on procedures and airline computer systems. Handled accounting issues, airline debit memos, hotel no-show bills, customer expense reports, ticketing problems, nonrefundable reports. Processed air travel purchases through the use of Soft Dollars.
