Daily Duties at Carlson Wagonlit Travel:

 Designated agent for Global Account. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Global Travel Program and supervising the use of airline free tickets.  Responsible for management of the Global Hotel Program, negotiating hotel rates, and providing account information to be loaded into the GDS.  Assisted in the restructuring of the Corporate Travel Policy for Global Account.  Worked directly with Global Account Office Director to make and ensure VIP reservations were correct and reconfirmed.  Developed relationship with travel agency venders, airlines, car rental agencies and other travel service providers to develop and implement programs, which best supported the company’s business requirements.  Assisted with the negotiation and administration of existing and new travel-related policies.  Meeting Coordinator responsible for large group meetings for corporate clients and athletic group travel for university sports teams. Negotiated hotel contracts that included sleeping rooms, conference space and A/V equipment, meals, bus transportation, and airline contracts.  Managed online booking tool using Sabre and World Span.  Handled day-to-day travel concerns and issues for company employees.  Speak, read, and write German.  Airline computer system knowledge encompasses World Span, Apollo, and Sabre.  Coordinated domestic & international reservations, QC, standard and STP ticketing on multibank desk.  Handled accounting issues, airline debit memos, hotel no-show bills, customer expense reports, ticketing problems, nonrefundable reports.  Processed air travel purchases through the use of Soft Dollars.
